Calculate possibilities

If you find that you won’t be able to create the best card combination with the in-hand cards before your opponent, it is advisable to drop the game and save your  maximum points. You can still play in this situation but your winning completely depends on the possibility to get the required cards from the closed deck and the chances of your opponent throwing your desired cards in the discarded pile.

Pay attention to your opponent’s moves

You can predict what cards your opponent is holding and the combinations he is trying to make by observing his actions. Keep a close eye on what cards your opponent is discarding and what he is picking from the open deck. These findings help you guess the potential sequence/set he is creating and identify the cards he requires. If he is taking time making his move, you can assume that he is still figuring out which cards to keep and which to throw. If he acts quickly, that means he has already sorted his cards and started working on creating the combinations.

Use the Joker card

Joker cards are used to form the impure sequences. You can use them as ‘wild cards’ to replace any missing card. For example - You have 5 of Spades and 5 of Hearts. Now you need 5 of Clubs or Diamonds to create an impure set. If you have a Joker card with you, you can use it as a replacement for the third card.
